Genealogy is a combination of detective work and piecing together a huge jigsaw puzzle that will never be truly finished. Too many times we have heard people say “I wish I’d known that when I started researching”. That was the reason for developing this presentations. There is no RIGHT way to do genealogy but there are better ways and one can learn from those who have gone ahead. Volunteers from the Ontario Genealogical Society will discuss some of the basics of genealogical research, researching on-line, genealogical software and presenting your results.

Location: Carlingwood Branch OPL, 281 Woodroffe, Ottawa
