Irish Research Group Cancelled
It is with great reluctance during our 50th anniversary celebrations that we must cancel our March Irish Research Group Meeting, due to the escalating concerns of COVID-19.
We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month (except Jun, Jul, Aug & Dec) at 7.30 pm at McNabb Community Centre, Craft Room, 180 Percy Street, Ottawa. Discussions include how and where to search your Irish roots and compiling information about Irish surnames in the Ottawa and outlying areas.
Hi, I own a property in eastern Ontario (Treadwell or North Plantagenet) that was bought and owned by Henry Erratt, Irish settler. I would like to know when he arrived in Canada. I have a date on a deed of land 1834? I’m looking for when my house was built. It is quite old but I don’t have a date. It’s a small log house which is two storeys high and very well built.
If you can give me any information on Henry Erratt and his famaly it would be greatly appreciated.
