Transcribing Goulbourn Project (Ottawa)

13:00 - 15:00

Speaker: Sarah Holla

Join us on January 21st for a discussion on heritage collections and how digital content can help museums remove barriers to learning about the past. During this session, the Goulbourn Museum will discuss how the public health crisis of 2020 thrust museums into the digital world. The Museum resides in the 1872 Township Hall, located at Stanleys Corners, and it preserves primary records of the former Goulbourn Township. With support from the Ottawa Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, the Museum is digitizing and transcribing this invaluable genealogical data for public research.
