LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was born on 10 December 1915 at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.1 He was the son of George Elliott Housser QC, AM and Annie Kennedy.1,2 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was listed as the son of George Elliott Housser QC, AM in the 1921 Canadian Census for 1092 Wolfe Ave, Point Grey, British Columbia, Canada.4 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was listed as the son of George Elliott Housser QC, AM in the 1931 Canadian Census for 1812 West Nineteenth Ave, Point Grey, British Columbia, Canada.5 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was a student at England on 1 June 1931.5 He survived the death of Annie Kennedy on 4 May 1933 at 1812 West Nineteenth, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.6,7,8 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was an usher at the wedding of Maynard Arthur Atkinson and Nancy Housser on 16 February 1940 at St Paul's Anglican Church, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.9,10 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve as a sub-lieutenant on 10 June 1940.11,12 He served as "a lieutenant on the [battleship] `King George V.13'" He married Martha Louise Farris, daughter of Bruce Mackenzie Farris and Martha Katharine Hadley, on 2 August 1941 at All Saints Church, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.2,14 Sub-Lieutenant Harry Housser, who joined the R.C.N.V.R. early in. 1940, took a special gunnery course in England, and was assigned for duty on H.M.S. King George V.15 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was promoted to lieutenant in the RCNVR 10 December 1941.16 He and Martha Louise Housser lived at Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine, USA, in 1944.17 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser "served overseas as a pilot in the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm."18 He witnessed the marriage of David Housser and Signe Ruth Pedersen on 18 May 1951 at St Mary's Anglican Church, Kerrisdale, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.19,20 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser was a lawyer in 1968.21 He and Martha Louise Housser lived at 3663 Pine Crescent, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1968.21 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser and Martha Louise Farris lived at 2716 West 49th St, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1972.22 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser and Martha Louise Farris were divorced.1,23 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser, as the father of the bride, attended the wedding of Rae David George Guy and Katharine Kennedy Housser on 25 September 1975 at St John's Anglican Cathedral, St John's, Newfoundland, Canada.24 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser survived the death of George Elliott Housser QC, AM on 21 August 1977 at 5805 Balsam St, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.25,26 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser lived at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, on 21 August 1977.26 He survived the death of David Housser on 24 March 1981 at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.27,28 The Benchers honoured Harry Housser, called in 1941, and Darrell Braidwood, Q.C., called in 1943, for their 50 years at the bar. Mr. Johnston told the Benchers that Mr. Housser had juggled his naval service and legal studies in 1939 and would have been called June, 1940, except that pressing wartime duties intervened. While not blaming the Law Society for either the war or the regrettable delay in his call, Mr. Housser still speculated whether he might be given a few years up on his 60-year certificate.29 LCdr Harry Cron Kennedy Housser lived at 215-1063 Foul Bay, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in 1995.30 He died on 13 July 1995 at Victoria General Hospital, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, at age 791,18 and was cremated on 17 July 1995.1
