     Adelard Lachapelle was born on 15 November 1861 at Canada, son of Louis Lachapelle and A Preault.4,1,5 He immigrated to USA in 1884.2,3 He was a baker at Manistique, Schoolcraft County, Michigan, USA, on 6 April 1889.1 He married Emma Billings, daughter of Henri Billings and Marguerite Demers, on 6 August 1889 at Manistique, Schoolcraft County, Michigan, USA.1,4,6 Adelard Lachapelle was naturalized in 1892.3,2 He was a baker on 20 January 1894.7 He was a laborer on 17 January 1896.8 He was a laborer on 19 October 1900.9 He was listed as the Head of the Household in the 1910 US Federal Census for 320 North Cedar St, Manistique, Schoolcraft County, Michigan, USA. The household included Emma Lachapelle, Laura Melvina Lachapelle, Leona Lachapelle, Lela Lachapelle, Leda M Lachapelle, Beatrice R M Lachapelle and Laurina L Lachapelle.10
