     Gladys Deuel was born on 29 July 1905 at Dresser Junction, Polk County, Wisconsin, USA.4,5,1 She married Martin Hewett Billings, son of Martin Tibbetts Billings and Belle H Hewett, before 1934.6 The List of United States Citizens on the S.S. Exochorda sailing from Mediterranean Ports (Alexandria, Egypt 1/24/39), Jan. 22nd, 1939, arriving at Port of New York. N.Y., Feb. 16th, 1939 included Gladys Billings, Martin Hewett Billings.7 The List of United States Citizens on the M.S. Silverwillow, Voy R-23-E sailing from Manila, P.I., April, 1941, arriving at Port of Los Angeles, May 9, 1941 included Gladys Billings and Martin Hewett Billings.5 Gladys Deuel was left a widow by the death of Martin Hewett Billings in June 1953.8,1 The List of In-Bound Passengers, Cabin Class, from Naples, Au. 15th, 1955 on the T/V.
