My grandfather, Bernard Harrison, at age 14 in 1887, arrived to Almonte, Ontario, Ramsay Township to Concession 10 Lot 12 that I have seen on the map as a farm of William Smith or John Smith. He came on the Sarmation Steamship and is found recorded on British Children Home Registry as indentured. At some point he emigrates to the United States @ 1900 and I do not know via what port. Looking for leads as to a typical route.
