Cancelled- General Society of Mayflower Descendants: History, Resources and Applications

It is with great reluctance during our 50th anniversary celebrations that we must cancel our monthly Branch Meeting, Saturday, March 28, 2020 along with Genealogy Lunch Bunch and the DNA Workshop, due to the escalating concerns of COVID-19.

Applications to the Society of Mayflower Descendants have exploded in the last few years in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the landing of the Mayflower in 1620. After a brief introduction about the mission and history of the Society, the presentation will review the resources published by and available from the publishing arm of the Mayflower Society (known colloquially as the “Silver Books”) and the application form and process for the recognition of lineage.

All Ottawa Branch monthly presentations are open to the public at no charge. Regrettably, due to ongoing technical difficulties broadcasting the Ottawa Branch presentations, webcasting has been discontinued.
