DNA Interest Group (Virtual Meeting)
May 2, 2020 (1PM) will be our first virtual DNA SIG and to accommodate the time zone of our speaker it will be in the AFTERNOON.
Katherine Borges will join us from Northern California to present on International Society of Genetic Genealogy (ISOGG). ISOGG was founded in 2005 to promote and advocate for the use of DNA testing for genealogy. This has led to involvement in legislative actions, development of a Y-chromosome phylogenetic tree which is cited in academic papers, and an extensive award-winning wiki among other resources. Katherine has been the Director of ISOGG since 2005.
The DNA Special Interest Group meets to share experiences, information, and ideas about the use of DNA evidence in exploring family history. Meetings are open to BIFHSGO members and non-members at no cost.
How do I sign up for the meeting?
